  • Gaze and let your eyes feast on panoramic views of glorious river valleys from dale-tops and hill-sides.
  • Breathe the fresh air and feel the freedom of the open countryside. Let your mind wonder about enigmatic stone circles and ancient castles.
  • Hear tales of the past from local people and listen to the larks sing as they rise over the fields.
  • Enjoy our hospitality and sample menus of locally produced food and drink for a real taste of the Peak District.

Unspoilt, sleepy stone villages and bustling historic market towns offer picturesque places to shop and stay.
  • Timeless architecture, duck ponds, old packhorse bridges and unusual churches are all on the doorstep.
  • We are well known for our outdoor markets, specialist shops, local produce and unique arts and crafts too.
Church Farm
Peak District Cycling
  • Verdant green fields and pale grey limestone walls in the White Peak contrast with purple heather moorlands and deep brown rocky outcrops in the Dark Peak.
  • Wildflowers such as the early purple orchids and yellow cowslips fill the dales with splashes of colour in early summer.
Veiw of Ilam Church
Snow over Sheen
  • Even in winter the landscape provides a rich palette of russet bracken, pale gold moorland grasses and a soft fall of pure white snow set against blue skies.

Coffin Well Tissington

Whilst you’re here, we hope you will experience our unique local traditions such as the annual wellsdressings held in many Peak District villages to celebrate the gift of water.

  • Pancake races, toe-wrestling, teapot parade and hen racing are just some of the crazy but wonderful things we get up to!

Whatever the season, whether you are looking for an outdoor challenge or for somewhere to relax and unwind then the Peak District experience is waiting for you.
