Michael Griffin has been creating beautiful furniture in oak since 1980. Based in the pictuesque village of Alstonfield Derbyshire, Michael's workshop is housed in part of Wesleyan House, his family home.
Everything Michael and his team make is solidly built throughout in best quality English Oak. The trees are purchased in the round and then cut to the thickness that Michael requires. The timber is air dried outside the workshop over a period of between two to six years before being, finally kiln-dried on the premises.
Michael's furniture is constructed using traditional methods. All dovetailing, jointing, turning and planning is done by hand; staining and finishing may be carried out to suit your preferences.
