A designer of striking comtemporary furniture, Chris Fleming offers a service creating individually designed hand-made furniture to order. He tells his story here;
I was born in Buxton, Derbyshire and have lived most of my adult life in the Peak District. In 1981, after leaving college I joined a local furniture making company and became involved in designing and prototype work. Projects undertaken include the restaurant interior at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, gallery seating at the new Clore Gallery (extension of the Tate) and the Director General's office at the BBC.
In 1996 I started my own workshop in the Peak District and now specialise in individual items designed to meet my customer's needs.
